TAM meets on the first second Wednesday of each month on the campus of Norfolk State University in the Fine Arts Building in room 329 at 7 pm. TAM is always seeking members to help fulfill its mission. Members may be musicians or patrons of the art.

Our membership is inclusive of individuals of all races, ages, and levels of musical interest. We offer our members opportunities for performance, education, scholarship, and networking, all while furthering our mission of promoting and preserving the musical legacy of African and African-American music and musicians.

Your membership, whether you are a professional artist, educator, student, amateur, or lover of music will help ensure that talented yet under-served and unacknowledged musicians, particularly those of African descent, will always be included among the musical arts mainstream.

TAM is the local branch of NANM; therefore all members will be automatically affiliated with the national organization.

Please download the application, fill it out, enclose your check and mail to TAM, P.O. Box 5622, Chesapeake, VA 23324 or bring to the next TAM meeting
