The National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc. invites you to apply for the 2022 Scholarship Competition. This year's competition is for winds and percussion. Contestants will first compete on the local then the regional level. Based on these competitions, each region will send its winning contestant to compete at the national level of the competition to be held on July, 2022 at the 103st Annual NANM National Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. The required repertoire embraces the works of European and American composers while highlighting the contributions of Black composers.

Applications, along with the $50 application fee and copy of photo identification, are due no later than January 15, 2022. All contestants must be 18-30 years old.

National First Prize $5500

National Third Prize $3500

Two Encouragement Prizes $500 each
